Fathers' Day hits Towerview Primary School

Dads, grandads and friends flocked to Towerview to join in the fun and excitement of the Fathers' Day event.

Reception and year 1 classes at Towerview Primary school held an afternoon just for "dads".  It was part of the Fathers' Day celebrations and was a real success.  Luckily the weather was great and very sunny so we had a huge turn out of dads, grandads and friends to watch a slide show and join in the fun.  There was a lot of competitive jumping, throwing, egg-carrying and hoola-hooping as well as making masks, playing with dough, colouring, cutting and designing.  All the men and all the children had a thoroughly good afternoon through which they played, did things together and enjoyed a "mum-free" time.  As one dad put it "Its great to spend time with my daughter, especially at school as I'm normally working and never get to do this!"  I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most children or adults!  Thanks to the staff for all their hard work and the children for being so welcoming and of course "dads"!
