Safeguarding Initiative Award
The school has been awarded an award for its Safeguarding measures it has taken and continues to take during the Covid-19 pandemic. It recognises the hard work of staff and pupils in maintaining hygienic conditions and procedures during this time and the extents that staff went above and beyond the expected. There are many schools who aply for this award but relatively few who have received it so we aare rightly proud about this and wish to congratulate everyone for their hard work.
The criteria included activities that the school did with children during lockdown, ways we worked alongside the local community, how the school re-opened in June and again in September and the ways the school is using to keep children, staff and families safe during school hours. We highlighted the art and creative aspects of school life, the use of the extensive grounds and the attendance of the children. We will try to ensure the school remains that safe haven for all staff and pupils and we appreciate all that families are doing to support us.
